Digging In
Digging In, the 3rd Week's Update log
Hi everyone, I’m Isaiah.
I’m the Dungeoneers Team’s 2D concepter and texture artist, and I have some news to share.
This week we’ve gotten quite a lot more 3D props and world assets created, with even more to come. The basis of what we’ll be needing to further design and build levels to put within our game has been started and with a little refinement & fine tuning, we will be able to properly start building out and testing our ideas in-engine.
We’ve modelled some basic environmental props to place around so that the dungeons and general areas won’t feel so empty and barren. These are things like crates, barrels, chests etc.
This week, level designs are being drawn up in 2D and roughed out in 3D, which will give us more of an idea of what’s feasible and what we really want out of a level for our players to experience.
Texture-work hasn’t started yet, but will start as soon as the 3D models are finalised and UV’d.
Kind regards,
Isaiah
